IT is definitely not twins. A spokeswoman for former Westlife singer Nicky Byrne confirmed last night that his wife Georgina Ahern is not expecting a second pair of twins.

Already parents to twin brothers Rocco and Jay, who turned six this month, the 34-year-old took to Twitter yesterday to tell fans of another addition to their family.

Nicky told followers: "Morning y'all. Its time to share our exciting news. Georgina is expecting!

"Yep, Third "Baby Byrne" is on the way !! #Yeehah :)"

However while the couple's PR declined to give any due date, they did rule out two more babies.

"We don't have any information on this, other than Georgina is definitely not expecting twins," she said.

Yvonne Keating was among those congratulating the couple via Twitter – "congratulations to you both," she wrote. "I'm so happy for you and the boys #newkidontheblock."

While Kian Egan's wife Jodi Albert tweeted: "Huge congrats to @GginaAhernByrne & @nickybyrneoffic for such wonderful news about there little buba on the way!!! ??? So happy for them! X"

Interviewed on Ryan Tubridy's 2fm show last week, Nicky had spoken of loving being a stay-at-home dad since finishing the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing last January.

His duties lately have included the planning of a special birthday party for Jay and Rocco with two separate cakes and more than 60 pals in Portmarnock Leisure Centre.

"[The twins] are the best of friends. But they absolutely beat each other up. You are like a referee. What I find really strange is they don't wake up for school Monday to Friday, they sleep on until whatever time they want.

"But then Saturday morning it's 7am, 'Daddy and mammy we got to get up', and I'm like, 'Just play in the corner'."

Following years of touring with Westlife, the singer is now relishing being a stay-at-home dad.

"Come January I had a bit more time. I'm able to do the school run. I'm in a lucky position that you can enjoy that, because plenty of dads are busy every morning."

Currently meeting TV producers in Ireland and the UK, the former soccer player said he wasn't making any immediate decisions about his future.

"For now being at home and enjoying it is of the utmost importance."
