During the interview in the roof garden studio, Shane reveals all about the launch of his new single, About You, as well as discussing his forthcoming album.

The singer also talks about how it feels to be a solo musician after 14 years in a successful boyband.

On a more personal note, Sarah speaks to Shane about his recent financial crisis and how he has been able to pick himself up after losing millions in the property crash.

"What I got out of my situation is that I'm so lucky to have three healthy kids, a healthy marriage and an amazing wife," he explained.

"That's what the album is about - trying to tell people not to worry. I've been there and it's not worth it.

"You get through it and you try to stay positive, so I've tried to keep the songs positive."

Also on this week's show the well-known 'baby doctor' Professor Jim Dornan chats to Sarah in The Magazine studio about his new book.

An Everyday Miracle tells the real-life stories of the women the renowned obstetrician and gynaecologist has treated during his 40 year career, and the 6,000 babies he has delivered.

The new series will also bring a weekly contribution from TV's Eamonn Holmes and his wife Ruth Langsford.

Sarah revealed: "(They) will be putting in an appearance on each of the programmes in this 10-week series.

"Each week, The Magazine will give this celebrity couple a topic to "discuss" and we will be hearing their views on everything from tidying up, to watching TV and going to weddings.

"It's a couple of minutes of gentle banter but it will definitely confirm that what, "he says" is very different from what "she says"!

Sarah added: "It's great to be back with a new series for the autumn and I'm looking forward to chatting with lots of people during the series, as well as taking a look at the stories that everyone is talking about."
