CASH-STRAPPED Shane Filan said he wouldn’t be interested in taking a place in the X Factor panel — even though there are lucrative incentives.
The star appeared on the hit talent show at the weekend to help his manager Louis Walsh pick the final three boys for the live shows.
The duo eventually decided on Nicholas McDonald, Sam Callahan and Luke Friend.
But the Everything To Me star ruled out a share of the e8 million budget for the judges — even after his manager Louis steps down next year.
Shane (34) revealed: “If I was offered it, I would probably turn it down.
“Even down the line I don’t know if it’s something I would do.
“Judging for me is not something I’d like to do, even X Factor. I don’t think I’d do it.”
Dad-of-four Shane added that he was instead focused on his new solo career, and that Louis (61) — his mentor since his days in Westlife — would be a tough act to follow.
The superstar, who was declared bankrupt in 2012, said: “Louis is amazing. He’s done 10 years this year — I’ve done judges’ houses.”
About You singer Shane has appeared on the show before, advising Louis in 2008 when JLS came second to Alexandra Burke (25).
